Built for the World Expo in 1988 site, it is now the only international exhibit remaining on the site, and indeed upon viewing, you’ll understand why. No less curious, but a tad bigger is South Bank’s Streets Beach, it’s one of the few, if only freshwater city beach in the world and it extends the length of five football fields. Surrounded by fine soft white sand and flanked by the Brisbane River, it’s the perfect place to catch a spot of winter sunshine, or have a swim.
