Guest Feedback Brisbane Accommodation

“We were unexpectedly met on arrival by Dana, though it was well after 9pm. Our very clean spacious room was on the first floor at the back. Very quiet, with good sized balcony and view to the city. Our room had a shower over a bath. I don’t know whether they all have, but its something to watch out for if that’s a problem for you. Very convenient for the Gabba and a local bus or River Cat to the city. Good pub with excellent food across the road and supermarket nearby. Wi-Fi did play up a bit but was fixed for us. Friendly and helpful staff.”

“I travel quite regularly and have stayed in many hotels. Wellington Apartments staff were amazing. Made me feel at home. The bed was so comfortable. The chef was so good. Location was perfect, close to all amenities but away from all the hustle and bustle of the city. I will be definitely be booking with Wellington Holiday Apartments whenever I’m in Brisbane.”

“It’s a credit to the staff and management for the wonderful service and food. Thank you for turning a business trip into a holiday. Boots restaurant food was amazing, lots of variety and exceptional service. A good scenic walk to Kangaroo Point cliffs. Access to shops across the road. Loved it will be back soon, I hope.”

“We stayed at the Wellington about ten years ago, and came back to find it just as good as before. We stayed twice this trip, a few days apart. The rooms are large, clean and well appointed, good bathroom and mini-kitchen, with air conditioning. The staff are very helpful, particularly the manager Dana. We arrived late from the airport in pouring rain from Cyclone Marcia, and Dana was very helpful in getting us a take away pizza (restaurants close early in Brisbane). The Wellington is in East Brisbane, its not in the city, but with a car, it is a very convenient location to stay. Its only a few hundred metres from the ‘Gabba cricket ground, The Wellington is about five minutes walk from the Mowbray Park river ferry terminal, with a quick service into the centre of Brisbane city and its many riverfront restaurants and bars. The room cost is very reasonable.”

So for your next visit to Brisbane, why not stay at The Wellington apartment hotel, the perfect Brisbane accommodation choice. You will love our friendly service, great Brisbane location, awesome restaurant perfect for holiday accommodation and corporate travellers.

You won’t miss it.

Coming back is easy. Take Vulture Street East until you hit Wellington Street. Turn left and it’s a home run.

Brisbane Things To See and Do

Of course the best stop is on the South Bank terminal where it’s jam packed with the major cultural attractions in Brisbane. Institutions such as the Queensland Gallery of Modern Art (GOMA), Queensland Art Gallery, Queensland Museum and State Library of Queensland can be found along Grey Street. In the South Bank Parklands you will find the Nepalese Pagoda, Picnic Island and Streets Beach. The Nepalese Pagoda is the last remaining exhibit from the World Expo 1988, and once you see it you’ll understand why it truly is a gift to the people of Brisbane.

Streets Beach, South Bank is another attraction that is worth visiting. Bring your beach towel and swimsuit, Streets Beach is possibly the only city beach in the world. Running parallel with the Brisbane River, the beach which is actually a pool occupies the length of five football fields and is lined by silky white sands and patrolled by bonafide surf life saving guards. A slightly surreal city experience, but also worth trying.

After a hard day at the museums, galleries, pagodas and urban beaches you’ll be well deserving of refreshments. You’ll have no trouble finding a cafe, restaurant, or bar to replenish. Check anywhere in Little Stanley Street, Parklands, River Quay or Grey Street. There’s bound to be somewhere that suits your taste.

Make sure you book your accommodation near the CityCat Ferry Brisbane. The Wellington Apartment Hotel on Wellington Road, Kangaroo Point is a sure bet.

Brisbane Accommodation Near Suncorp Stadium

Here is Brisbane accommodation near Suncorp Stadium that is the perfect place to stay for the next game, or big concert. The Wellington Apartment Hotel is a great place to stay if you’re coming to Brisbane for a game, or concert at the Suncorp Stadium. Our four star luxury Brisbane accommodation is surprisingly affordable. The two bedroom apartments can sleep up to seven people, and has free undercover car parking. Arrive for the big event and leave your car behind. With the superb Brisbane public transport system it’s easy to get around. South Brisbane, Milton, Paddington, and the lower end of Kangaroo Point are great entertainment and hospitality hotspots.

One of our favorite recommendations if you’re visiting the Suncorp stadium is Statler and Waldorf, a really good gastro pub to visit before, or after the game, or concert. Toast or commiserate with a craft beer (or two) and tuck into a meal that you will be able to eat with a clear conscience. They do “modern interpretations of pub classics that use seasonal produce, local when it’s better, ethical where viable, and table it for an honest price.” [sic] Breads are baked in-house, pasta is handmade and honey is sourced from our rooftop hive. Just make sure your beard is clean, and your hipster pants are not fastened too tightly.

Our in-house restaurant, Boots Restaurant can also serve you world class sustenance. The breakfast menu has eggs under eight separate dishes, and they’re free range too. The dinner menu is also worth staying in for if you’re after a quieter night. Afterwards, a few quiet drinks at our lounge bar is a relaxed way to spend an evening in Brisbane.

We think our Brisbane accommodation near Suncorp stadium is where the smart money comes for their out of town Brisbane accommodation experience. Once you try us, we know you’ll be hooked. You don’t even have to like the Broncos.

There’s a Coles nearby in Woolloongabba, however it’s easy to find a deli, butcher or specialist retailer nearby for more particular products. Families will also enjoy the barbeque beside the pool. The pool area is a great spot to socialise and have a meal in the evening, the sparkle of Brisbane city lights and the neighbourhood create a lovely atmosphere.

For access to the various attractions to Brisbane, the CityCat ferries are a very convenient way to get around Brisbane, especially to the South Bank where many of Queensland`s cultural treasures can be found. QPAC, GOMA and QAG are all along the same strip. Refresh your cultural database with a visit to the Queensland Art Gallery. Along with the blockbuster travelling shows, the permanent collection of Nolan, Drysdale and Vida Lahey are well worth a look.

Bring your appetite and bring your togs while you are visiting the South Bank. The array of cafes and eateries is just staggering. Use your google and you’ll drown in a sea of choice. If you want a pointer, our concierge always has a tip or two about the hot spots. After lunch take in some sun or have a swim in the infinity edge pool at Streets Beach, Australia’s only city beach, right beside the Brisbane river. There’s tons of silky white sand to relax on and with a pool that occupies the size of five footy fields, it’s more than a glorified swimming pool…
